My first impression of Boo Radely was that he was a very troubled indevidual. Although i'm sure he has problems i doubt what the town's people say compleatly is true. They may have stetched stories a bit. I think that the reason behind the town's people making up this stories is they are courious about the family and are trying to understand them. They make these stories up based on the little understanding of the Radelys that they have.
If i was one of the three children at the Radelys that night i probably would have been Dill. Dill was the one that encouraged Jem to touch the house but had no intension of doing so himself. he made a compromise and said to jem "i won't say you ran out on a dare an' i'll swap you the gray ghost if you just go up and touch the house."(page 14) when i was younger i would always try to get my friends to do stupid dares even though i never usally would do them myself.
